»Sunday, January 31st - Jilted Love - Hosea
Join us as we continue our study of the Minor Prophets. Hosea’s prophecy is a story of jilted love. It is a story about the God who loved a people and showered upon them every blessing. But it is also a story about how that people looked for love elsewhere. Hosea’s own life is called to mirror the relationship between God and His people so that the message is impressed upon the hearts and minds of the people – “Faithful love is to be found nowhere else but in the Lord and to think otherwise is to make a foolish and tragic choice.” Does Christianity feel like a steady religion to fall back on when things are tough while you chase after the gods of this world? Hosea will help you to see that there is no true love anywhere else but in Christ.
